Ear Therapies

Ear therapies involve stimulating the microsystem of the ear using a variety of tools and options for full body benefits

How is it done?

The practitioner will place a tool of their choice to stimulate a specific area of the ear. It may be a temporary or a semi-permanent needle, seeds, magnets, crystals or others. One or more points may also be selected for bleeding, in which case a small poke is done in a specific location and the bleeding is properly addressed.

Depending on the choice, the patient may be asked to press on it a few times a day. Other than that, nothing else needs be done and life should resume as normal.

What does it treat?

Ear acupuncture can treat anything, from aches and pains to anxiety and PTSD. It can be used with treatment or post-treatment, stand alone or in combination.

What should I expect?

Some points may be slightly uncomfortable once you have something stimulating it. Usually, if it's really uncomfortable, you should just remove them. If bleeding was done, it may leave a small hematoma.

Did you know?

The ear microsystem was actually discovered by a French practitioner, but it is so effective that even the US military uses it and it is part of what's know as battlefield acupuncture (BFA).

Five points are needled, usually Shen Men, sympathetic, Kidney, Liver and Lung

The NADA protocol

NADA protocol is done by stimulating five specific points in the ear, usually by needling. It is a form of treatment usually done in groups, where the individuals sit quietly for about 30 to 45 minutes allowing time for the treatment to take effect.

NADA helps with:

Addiction, reducing cravings

Withdraw symptoms

PTSD

Trauma

Anxiety

Sleep

Disaster relief
